Donations Make a Difference

Please consider making a donation to Hospice.  Our services and care would not be possible without the generosity of our donors.  Private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimburse some but not necessarily all of the costs of Hospice care.   Consequently, we must count on a supportive community to help make up the difference through contributions from individuals, foundations, and other organizations.

Gifts can be in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special event.  Many Hospice patients are remembered in this way; we also welcome and receive gifts in memory of anyone.  Memorial gifts have been and continue to be crucial to the continuing availability of our services.  We also gladly accept undesignated gifts, an avenue that many people use to express their support for our organization as a part of their community.  Tax-deductible contributions may be made as memorial gifts, as planned gifts through an estate, will, or trust, and as general donations.

The Friends of Hospice, our fundraising board, are happy to talk to you about opportunities to insure the long-term health of Hospice and therefore to improve the overall health of your community.  We also encourage you to consult with your attorney and/or financial advisor to help you make the best decision.  Please email our Board President Tom Yousey at youseytj@potsdam.edu.
